Parsley Hay is situated in the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire, off the A515 approximately 8 miles south-east of Buxton. The large car park has spaces for disabled people (blue badge holders free), there is a disabled toilet (Radar operated), cycle hire, refreshments kiosk and picnic area. |
|
There is level access to the Tissington and High Peak Trails. Both are former railway tracks so are traffic free and relatively flat. The surface of the tracks consist mainly of crushed compacted stone. From the base at Parsley Hay, the rider has a choice of three directions in which to cycle, either north-west to Hurdlow (recently re-surfaced) or south-east to either Hartington on the Tissington Trail or towards Friden on the High Peak Trail. In total there are around 30 miles of trackway. |
